Warm wind lifts her hair and carries her gown out across the land, until the silk and the mountains seem made of the same light. The sun rises behind her in pink and gold, and at her side a mountain lion stands calm and watchful.

Goddess of Light is about standing in your full light – not making yourself smaller to fit in, and not hiding your inner beauty so others feel more comfortable. She is strong and beautiful at once, majestic without needing to dominate anyone. Her mountain lion is the quiet strength that is always there, a faithful companion ready to defend her the moment she needs him.

Up close, the painting is full of small surprises: drips running down from the sky, splatters of color, fragments of handwritten script and collage, and alcohol ink catching the light with a metallic sheen. Layers of ink, acrylic, modeling paste and clear gel sit beneath the oil, so the pinks and golds glow from deep within.

At 60 x 48 inches, this large pink figurative painting is a true statement piece. It anchors a living room wall above a sofa, fills an entryway with warmth, or brings a bold, confident heart to a bedroom. It glows against white, cream or soft gray walls and pairs well with blush, plum and warm wood accents in modern, transitional or eclectic interiors.
